What is PISACON?
The Pacific Islander Student Alliance Conference (PISACON) is our highly anticipated annual gathering that provides invaluable resources for Pacific Islander scholarship, leadership development, community, and college navigation. Our primary goal is to offer Pacific Islander students a unique opportunity that might otherwise be absent from their overall college experience. We strive to empower students to effectively organize, thoughtfully plan, and collaboratively build a world that fully encompasses their diverse needs and core values. This effort takes place both within the institutional framework and outside in the broader community.
Workshop Proposals
Present a workshop at the 2026 PISA Conference! We are looking for folks interested in hosting a 75-minute workshop at our conference! As our conference is catered for Pacific Islander students in higher education, we will prioritize workshop presenters from Pacific Islander communities. See below for details on the workshop proposal. Due Date: Mon, Feb 16, 2026 at 11:59pm. You will hear from us no later than Mon, Mar 2nd with our decision. At this time, we are unable to provide funding support to workshop presenters for travel, conference registration, and lodging in the area.
PISACon 2026 focus and goals: This year's conference will foster a space for Pacific Islander college students to explore culture, identity, diversity within the PI community by offering workshop topics that are specific to PI college students. Based on our 2025 conference's student feedback, the most favoured workshops were around identity, the arts, visits outside, mental health, financial literacy, language, and making connections. Building a thriving community is at the heart of our work. For workshop examples, see last year's workshops here (go to pg 5). For a better idea of our conference, check out our PISACon Highlights video here. We are strongly encouraging folks to please consider presenting your workshop at least twice at our conference so that students have more chances to attend.
